Testimonials
For the last two years I have had the privilege of training with Nicole Bosley-Smith. When I started, I was completely out of shape. I felt lousy and a check up with my doctor indicated that I needed make changes in my life.
I was 50 years old and didn't think I would be able to make the changes that I wanted. Nicole thought otherwise. Through her expertise, encouragement, prodding, pushing and her patience, I was able to make remarkable changes.
I began to workout 3 to 4 times a week. I started riding my bike again. Nicole gave me tips on how to improve my diet. The results have been dramatic. My check up this year was great. My doctor told me my health was terrific. My strength and endurance has steadily increased. This past September I am proud that I was able to complete my first century ride on my bike. (100 miles). The thought of being able to do that 2 years ago was simply incomprehensible.
I cannot thank Nicole enough for all the hard work she put into giving me the tools to reach and surpass my health and fitness goals. She is absolutely the BEST!
- Bob Weisengoff
I have happily been a member of The Arena Club for the past 5 years. Through the ups and downs of being a competitive and now professional dancer, The Arena Club has been there every step of the way. This past October, I broke my left foot for the 4th time. Devastated that I could not go back on tour with "Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance"—the dance company I had strived my whole life to be part of – I entered a local Miss America Pageant to keep me motivated through my recovery. Working with Agape and Susan Phipps on the pilates reformer, I am happy to say my foot is fully healed and I was able to compete and win my first pageant ever (current title, Miss Appalachia 2012!) Now that I am in the running to be next Miss Maryland, I keep in shape with the help of The Arena Club and their wonderful pilates reformer training!
- Caitlin Golding, Miss. Appalachia 2012
I have been working with Nicole for two years and have lost weight and inches. I am stronger than I have ever been. I look forward to my weekly training session because I know she will greet me with enthusiasm and a different workout each week. Her dedication and drive have pushed me to try new classes and get out of the same weekly exercise box I was in. I have continued to improve and push myself thanks to the efforts of Nicole. She continues to make a positive and healthy impact on my life.

Finest Pointer for Joining a Health club!
Hundreds of hundreds of Americans-- and people all around the world-- will be joining health clubs today to assist promote wellness and fitness-centered New Year's resolutions. As somebody who has joined 6 various gyms in 3 different nations in the in 2012 alone, I've become something of an expert.
Below are a couple of pointers that I use when joining a fitness center:
Place, area, location. I invest 90 minutes at the gym, 6 days a week. That's a lot of time. The last thing I want is to extend my time dedication with a long commute to the fitness center. Even a 15 minute drive means 30 minutes of commuting a day, or 3 extra hours a week. Creating time for exercising is difficulty enough-- extra yourself the discomfort of an even bigger time dedication by discovering a center near your home, or near your workplace.
Take your fitness center for a spin-- during the time you'll typically work out. You’d test drive a vehicle prior to getting it, and there's no reason you can't do the same with a fitness center. Ask for a free day pass, then utilize it during the time when you’d typically exercise You could discover that the health club is overcrowded at your ideal exercise time.
Overcrowded health clubs indicate longer waits for devices, and therefore longer or insufficient workouts. Attempting a fitness center out will likewise give you the opportunity to evaluate the equipment and its condition. Is the fitness center clean? Are the devices functioning or out of order?
Go for a deal. In spite of exactly what the salesperson tells you, gym rates are typically not set in stone. And know that the person behind the counter is probably dealing with commission-- they are motivated to sell you the most expensive gym subscription possible. You can negotiate discount rates in monthly rates, and waive sign-up costs. If you're looking at a few gyms, leverage their rates against each various other. Do not be terrified to bargain. Anticipate to pay anywhere from $10-- $250/month relying on the center and the regards to your agreement.
Think about a bulk purchase. Along the lines of bargaining, think about buying a complete year's membership at once. If you pay it all upfront, many fitness centers provide price cuts. It can be a great idea-- or a dreadful concept if you move or stop using your subscription.
Evaluate the fitness center hours and holiday closings. Is the fitness center even open when you require it to be? When I was living in Buenos Aires, my health club didn't open up until 8AM! As a morning person, I had to flex my schedule substantially to get my workout in Look at the holiday closings. My present health club is closed throughout every holiday—even January 1st and 2nd! If you get the various annual vacations off of work, you might desire a health club that's open.
Ask for a training schedule. Maybe you're interested in trying yoga, pilates or spinning. A lot of fitness centers consist of free trainings in their schedules-- it's all constructed into your subscription, so see exactly what your health club provides!
